Forest of Dean District Council to offer free remote Covid business courses
Forest of Dean District Council is offering free online training courses to help local businesses remain Covid resilient as restrictions begin to ease.
With the main theme of ‘regulation free is not risk free’, the online courses will help businesses determine what proportionate Covid measures they may need to retain or adopt, and when and how to adopt or reduce certain measures.
Cabinet Member for Economy, Cllr Bernie O’Neill, said,
“With restrictions easing around the country, this course will act as a reassurance for businesses. If you want to make sure your business is as safe as it can be, ensuring your clients and staff feel safe, this guidance and advice is there to keep your business running smoothly this year.
“The course will also be a perfect opportunity for local businesses to share their experiences during the pandemic, and discuss how they have learned to cope through the winter months.”
Dr Mark Cooper, COVID Compliance Officer at Forest of Dean District Council said,
“Covid is very much still with us and during the course we will take businesses through the important issues that they may need to consider. This includes discussions on testing, vaccines and determining what the relative risk is for their business.”
The courses take place online, with anyone interested able to register interest for a course, by emailing [email protected] and include business name, address, contact details, preferred date and use the code FODDC.
The courses started 31 January and will take place every Monday and Friday until 28 February at 10am, lasting between 90 minutes and two hours, with more courses to be announced at a later date.
